This Book Cannot Be Shortened!!!

This is a Great Book, beautifully written with one of the best versions of this legend. It is well researched, and then constructed into a narritive with depth and logic. To see it abridged is a disgrace that horrifies me. Please do NOT bother reading such a travesty! There is no way this book (or its prequel) can possibly be chopped into a smaller bite sized piece. To do so is literary murder.

I agree with the other reviewer that this book should not be abridged. Such a shame they decided to short change listeners. That being said, it was beautifully read. Even having read this many times I still waited, as though the story would change, to hear what happened. Exceptional book, great reader but really wrong to abridge these.
