Warning! Kindle version has no pictures!!!!

The paperback version of this book may be great, but the Kindle version has no pictures!!! Don't waste your money on the ebook. Buy the hard copy if you want the illustrations - as all of us do.

This is a nice book for a costumer

This is a nice book for a costumer. But the title is a little misleading since it is only about English hats and headdresses. Of course, more or less the same styles were worn at more or less the same time, but still I can't find the Italian Renaissance or the very distinctive 'Landsknecht'. To sum it up : there's nothing wrong with the book, only with the title.

I was a little disappointed in this book. the depth of info, the skill of the sketches and the presentation of descriptions is chronologically random to me. Its a place to start though, I suppose.
