Steven T. Fleming, PhD, is an associate professor of epidemiology and health services management in the College of Public Health at the University of Kentucky. He teaches introductory, advanced, cancer, and managerial epidemiology to nursing and public health students at the University of Kentucky and health administration students in the United Arab Emirates.

The book is written in a clear and easy manner

I really like the books because of many of its features including:
1. The case studies are really helpful as they really explain the topics and they implement what's been learned in the text.
2. The answers are provided for case studies.
3. The text is designed for someone who has no Medical Knowledge.
4. The figures are really helpful
I would have liked:
1. The important terms could have been highlighted for easy reference.
2. A list of useful websites in one place would have been helpful
3. Some questions at the end of each chapter would have helped.
Overall, the book is an excellent source for anyone willing to learn what Epidemiology is and how to apply it in the field of medicine to make much more data-based, informed decision. I would recommend to all physicians or administrators looking to make clinical decisions.
